Signup for Squidoo, Blogger, Youtube, Wordpress, any other similar social site(s) where you can add your own links.
 
Next, modify each account, with a link to your main site, and the key is to link to all other social directories/websites you have accounts with…
 
EX:
 
YourSite.blogger.com
youtube.com/yoursite
squidoo.com/yoursite
 
Main Site: YourSite.com
 
So, for each of these profiles, add a link to each other profile, and your main site. Basically, you need to create cross links between each profile, and thus create a “web” of links/crosslinks that all link together, but ultimately link back to your main/authority website.
 
Next, once you have this “web of links” setup, now ping each individual site(s), that link to all your other sites/profiles using a service like:
 
http://www.pingler.com
or
http://www.pingomatic.com
 
Submit all of your “profile” sites that point to your main domain, as well as submit your main domain to be “pinged”
 
Final step, once you have some authority/link juice going, then submit to the social bookmarking directories, like Digg.com etc…
 
Ta-Da!
 
Now you have instant backlinks, as well as a “web” of links that can grow to give you more authority status/link love.
 
(Make sure to use Anchor text links that are relevant to your keywords)
